Super find and place Revit family instances
Finding or searching the correct family in a large model, with hundreds to thousands of families, is a painful task, even for the best computer. The default search function of Autodesk® Revit® is not ideal to find what you want.
With this powerful tool, now you can quickly search any family with some keyword(s) of their naming and quickly place them in the model, saving you lots of time.
General Usage Instruction
Please follow the following step to use the add in:
Click on the button PlacingFamily from CherryBIMX panel
In the main user interface, you will have:
A search box: where you can type in some keywords of the family you want to search. The keywords might be some part of the family naming. The add in will quickly seeking through all family database to get you the result.
The Family name list: from the keywords you have typed in the search box, a list of result will be display in this section.
The type name list: whenever you select an item in the family name list, all type of of that family will be displayed in this list for you the select the type of family you want to place in the model.
History list: this section will display the history of your placement family using the add in. So you can quickly choose the one you have used.

You cannot edit the instance parameter of the instance when placing the family instance.
The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in.
To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8.1/10) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
The add-in is automatically activated based on the Autodesk account you have used to purchase the add-in, so please make sure to log in to the Revit with the same Autodesk account before you start using the add-in.
